In 2020, I led the conversion of an old dialysis clinic into a factory to make cloth masks, face shields, and isolation gowns in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.  This included the space planning and design of the facility set up, the organizational design of the operation, and the design of the PPE products themselves.  During the first couple of months of the pandemic, when PPE was hard to come by, this factory produced over 40,000 cloth masks, 10,000 gowns, and 1,000 face shields for frontline workers and patients.  In addition, we were able to employee local people who were out of work due to Covid-19.
In 2018, I designed the “P3” system for Principle Longterm Care.  The P3 system is a system that organizes consolidates the approval workflow for Capital projects and purchases within the company.  It provides a way for leadership on various levels to approve Capital purchases and to track these approvals and link them with project invoices.
In 2018, I Designed/Invented a unique piece of furniture to maximize space in rooms inside of hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.  The patent is currently pending.  For more details, check out my patent application...
In 2019, I wrote and submitted a grant application, via Thinking Well LLC, for a federal CMP grant.  The purpose of the grant was to get federal funding to install CO2 sensors in nursing homes.  CO2 levels are an indicator of poor air quality and the installation of these sensors would help to detect air quality issues in nursing homes.  The Covid-19 pandemic has revealed the need for improved indoor air quality in nursing homes to prevent the spread of airborne viruses.
I designed this current iteration of the Principle LTC logo including a branded version for the “Rehab to Home” and “Sparks” product lines.
